Object Type: print
Medium and Support: Etching and engraving on medium-weight off-white laid paper
Edition: According to Carlier, François engraved six prints after Eisen. Of these, four were dated 1756. The latest possible date would be 1769, upon the death of François.
Marks: Inscribed in plate margin, lower left: “C. Eisen pinxit”; inscribed in plate margin, lower right: “Avec Privilège; Chés François Graveur, au Triangle d’Or; Hôtel des Ursins, derriere S. Denis de la Chartre. Et à la Comette”; inscribed in lower margin, center: “BAL CHINOIS / Tiré du Cabinet de M. le Comte de La Vaulx de Vrecourt, Officier de Gendarmerie.”
